What is Juvéderm®?

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss and for augmentation of the chin region to improve the chin profile in adults over 21.
JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE® XC, JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC, and JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC injectable gels are for injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. JUVÉDERM® VOLLURE® XC injectable gel is for adults over 21.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a chemical that occurs naturally mostly in the skin, connective tissue, and eyes. It keeps your tissues moisturized and your skin hydrated. Hyaluronic acid has antimicrobial characteristics and can aid with inflammation and wound healing. It maintains your skin soft and looking good. Increased hyaluronic acid levels in the skin can greatly boost skin hydration.
The Treatment Process
Juvéderm fillers are non-surgical and non-invasive. Most people are able to see the results obtained from Juvéderm treatments instantly yet for some people it takes time. Hyaluronic acid increases collagen formation in connective tissue, allowing your body to constantly manufacture collagen to enhance skin smoothness and flexibility.
You might expect redness, discomfort, lumps or bumps, slight pain, itching, bruising, and swelling after the therapy. These potential side effects should subside after two to four weeks.
