What is Bellafill®?

Beautiful, natural-looking results that last.

Bellafill is the only dermal filler that stimulates collagen growth long-term to help maintain your youthful appearance for up to 5 years.

Now, you can look your best without wasting time and money on frequent filler injections.

Features and Benefits

Bellafill’s tiny, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres are suspended within a base of smooth collagen gel. Once injected, the collagen gel immediately reduces the look of smile lines. Over time, your body uses the microspheres in Bellafill to create a “scaffold” onto which your own natural collagen can develop.

This collagen forms a foundation that adds volume to wrinkles, reducing their appearance – and giving you natural-looking results that feel soft and smooth for up to 5 years.

Bellafill® FAQs

What is Bellafill®?

There are several procedures out there that can help an aging person regain their youthfulness. One such procedure is the use of bellafill to enhance the way your skin looks by reducing the effects of lines, wrinkles, and folds present in facial skin. This procedure is used to treat scars left behind by acne in people above the age of 21. Bellafill is created by combining a collagen base and polymethyl methacrylate microspheres.

Safety

Bellafill has been FDA approved ever since 2006 but has only been used to treat acne scars following a clinical trial that gave Bellafill approval for this particular scenario in 2014. Bellafill can have certain minor side effects on some people. Those side effects include:

  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Tenderness
  • Swelling at the injection site
  • Rash
  • Discoloration
  • Infection in worst-case scenarios

Nearly all side effects are known to clear up within 7 days after the procedure. If any side effects last longer than this, it is recommended to see your healthcare provider at the first opportunity.

Procedure

Prior to the procedure, the medical practitioner will conduct a consultation that goes over your medical history and what you plan on achieving from the procedure. The procedure itself can last anywhere from 15 to 60 minute depending on how extensive it is. Following the procedure, there will be a follow-up treatment six weeks after the initial appointment.

Costs

The cost of the procedure depends on certain factors. Such factors can include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualifications of your medical practitioner
  • Type of treatment
  • Number of appointments
  • Location
