Jeuveau treatment consists of administering Botulinum Toxin into your muscles. The toxin is approved by the FDA to temporarily improve the condition of your facial skin, like removing frown lines. It primarily works by paralyzing the muscles and blocking nerve singles which decreases the formation of fine lines, skin sagging, and wrinkles, and brings about a youthful appearance.

The treatment will result in the disappearance of crow’s feet, wrinkles, and fine lines between the eyebrows, corners of the mouth, and chin. Furthermore the treatment will halt the formation of facial wrinkles.

The Jeuveau treatment takes about a few minutes to complete, in which a specialist will administer the toxin through a fine thin needle. There is no recovery time after the treatment is completed and the patient can go back to their daily routine. However, the result can take 2 weeks to fully show. While going into the next 2 days after the treatment, the patient will experience side effects which will cause a little discomfort due to redness, bruising, headaches, and swelling. The treatment itself will last for 6 months and afterward, follow-up treatment will be required.

However, it is also advised that you don’t decide on the treatment if you have the following contraindications; diabetes, pregnant or nursing women, or have taken Asprin or Ibuprofen medication.
