Lips Micropigmentation

2 hrs. | 1 free touchup within 2 months | $650 ->$549

If the eyes are the window to the soul, the lips are the gateway to our emotions, passions, and expressions. Beautiful, full, deep-colored lips can make us appear and feel more sensual, more attractive, and more confident, and can add drama to the natural beauty that we’ve been searching for.

Many people are choosing to give their lips a tattoo makeover, either because they are unhappy with the way they look or they want to spend less time in front of the mirror in the morning. Unbalanced symmetry, a thin appearance, and a lack of natural color can all be corrected in a natural way with our intelligent semi-permanent lip tattoo treatments.

Lips Micropigmentation treatment is a three-part process usually completed within two appointments. The price you are quoted will include all three stages.

THE CONSULTATION

The first part of the process is a consultation. This is normally done as part of your initial treatment, but can be done separately if you prefer. Our team will talk with you in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve and what we might recommend to you. This is very much a two-way conversation. We listen, we respond, we advise. Once we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the lip contour and color on with a makeup pencil. This can be drawn on and adjusted my times if necessary! We will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely happy with what it is going to look like.

THE TREATMENT

Using a specialist facial tattooing machine, which works at a much lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine, we gently apply pigment to the lips using very fine needles. The sensation is that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin – you feel the vibrations but you should not feel much discomfort. We will always work with you at this stage, giving you breaks if you need them. The process normally takes about 90 minutes, but it varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. After a Lips Micropigmentation treatment you are likely to be swollen, so we do not advise making any social plans for a few days afterwards.

THE RETOUCH

A second appointment is needed 4-8 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually a 30-60 minute appointment to add more pigment to the lips. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more color. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, we advise you always come back to our spa for your retouch.

Lips Micropigmentation

What is Lip micropigmentation?

Lip Micropigmentation is a form of permanent makeup that is focused and used on only the lips. As you grow older, the pigment in your lips can begin to fade, leading to a dry and pale shade of color. To remedy this problem for thousands of women, dermatologists and plastic surgeons have come up with several treatments such as Botox and lip micropigmentation. This procedure involves injecting a pigment into the lining of the lips to add color and give your lips a luscious exterior no matter what your age.

Benefits

By using lip micropigmentation, you can rejuvenate your smile and you can keep it that way permanently. Permanent Lip Makeup is a growing trend among women in the United States, United Kingdom, and other European countries because it is the closest thing to a natural pink shade that you can get while keeping procedures minimally invasive.

Things to know before your procedure

The lips of some people could become sensitive to the procedure if they have undergone recent surgical procedures on their lips (e.g. Botox, lip filler), which is why it is imperative that you let your medical practitioner know if there have been any such procedures. Another thing you should be aware of is whether you have any allergic reactions to anesthesia, which is rare but still probable. The presence of any oral prosthetics such as dentures is also something your practitioner should be informed about before the procedure.

After-Care

Medical specialists recommend using ice packs for 5-10 minutes at hourly intervals for 6-8 hours following your procedure. This should help reduce swelling and redness on the targeted area, and should provide comfort for any pain you may experience after the procedure. Medical practitioners also recommend abstaining from exposure to sunlight and the use of soaps and shampoos for at least 7 days. To help accelerate the healing process, doctors recommend using A&D ointments on the targeted area within 24 hours of the procedure.

Consultation

Prior to your lip micropigmentation, you will have to sit down with our consultant and discuss a few things regarding your health and what you aim to get from the procedure. The consultant will ask questions regarding your medical history, any recent surgical or cosmetic procedures, the areas you want to target, and the way you want your final outcome to look.
